Each of our classes is specifically designed to support young people in gaining the confidence and independence necessary to live their own life and make fulfilling choices.

PUBLIC SPEAKING

 

Students will learn and practice speaking in order to make presentations to small and large groups;  They will write and memorize pieces to be shared through persuasive speeches and storytelling.

PAINTING

 

Students will learn to understand the use of color, light, and space through brushwork and blending with acrylic paint.  Students will learn the needs and restrictions of painting on different media such as paper, glass, and canvas. 
The goal is for our students to enjoy the freedom of creating and making art with paints.

ENTREPRENEURSHIP

 

Students will learn how to develop a product or service from scratch; They will research a customer market and adjust their product to sell for profit. They will focus on creating a business plan to ensure their product is useful and sustainable for their community and, eventually, build their own company.

​

COMMUNITY ART

 

Students will channel their points of view to make art for larger installation pieces.  The goal is for those pieces to be displayed in public spaces and inspire conversations and recognition in their community.
