Individual Sessions

Sometimes children need attention in a quieter, more focused, one-to-one setting.

Individual sessions can be helpful to address hyperactive behavior, anxiety and fear, trouble sleeping, and trust issues.

Creating a goal-oriented plan that directly involves both parents and children can include active reciprocal play, turn-taking, and practicing how to speak up for oneself. Engaging in new physical and creative activities also helps build self-esteem.
Parents may be asked to join in.  Young adult sessions can include strategies to overcome anxiety, create plans to feel more successful in personal pursuits, understand growth, and maintain a greater sense of calm and control.
